What to Expect

The Tour

Settle in for a truly unique experience – – a Finger Lakes winery tour that features a Certified Sommelier as your personal guide.  This small group tour of the best wines of Keuka Lake will start at the Park and Ride on Route 31F, where you will board our custom bus and journey to the lake.  During the ride our Sommelier, certified by the Master Court of Sommeliers, will lead you through an exploration of the Finger Lakes wine region, its grapes and history.  You will learn about the flavor components of wine and how to mindfully taste and discern them – – all while relaxing in comfort.    Once at “crooked lake” you will sample wines from three hand picked wineries, each known for their high quality, award winning products.  In addition to savoring these fine wines, you will relish spectacular views of the lake from each tasting room.  Midway through the excursion we will stop at a local sandwich shop, where you can purchase lunch on your own and shop for local treasures.  Throughout the entire experience our Sommelier will be there to answer your questions about the wonderful world of wine.

Our Stops

Ravines Wine Cellars
Recently named among the world’s top 100 wineries by Wine & Spirits magazine, this boutique winery has a strong French influence.  (The owner is from Provence.)  Its Alsatian-style Rieslings are renown.

Keuka Spring Vineyards
This family owned winery creates its wine from classic European grapes, as well as hybrids.  One specialty is Lemberger, an Austrian grape variety that is becoming known as one of the few reds that do well in the cold climate of the Finger Lakes.

McGregor Vineyard
Its wines are estate grown and bottled, ensuring outstanding quality, which is one reason that their Riesling earned 92 points by Wine Advocate.  They also boast some of the oldest vinifera grapevines in the Finger Lakes, including unusual varieties like Serekysia and Saperavi , which are used to make their popular Black Russian Red.

Olney Place
The best sandwiches on Keuka Lake, and craft beers on tap, are found in this fun and quirky shop – – a must see on any visit to the lake.

Please note that while all transportation, tastings and gratuities are included in the tour, guests are responsible to purchase their own lunch.
